Jewellery Care

Hultquist-Copenhagen Jewellery is handmade to a very high standard and due to its delicate nature products are required to be cared for in an appropriate manner to maintain their beauty and wearability.

With plated jewellery many factors influence the wear and tear such as acid from skin, sweat, perfume, hairspray, alcohol, medicine consumption, body imbalance, stress, air & pollution.

It is recommended that you avoid your jewellery coming in contact with perfume, moisturiser, hairspray, cleaning products & chlorine.  These items can cause damage to silver and gold plating as well as semi precious stones and fresh water pearls.

It is recommended to not wear your jewellery when bathing or swimming.

Earring hooks should be handled carefully.  Bending the hook should be avoided.

Jewellery should be stored in a dry place away from moisture.

Only use a soft cloth to clean your jewellery.  The use of a jewellery cleaning cloth, containing chemicals, is not recommended.

Never use detergents, ammonia, alcohol or jewellery cleaners as these are abrasive and will cause damage.
